Supporting Operational Readiness at Hartlepool
At JMS Consultants, our relationship with clients goes far beyond simply delivering training courses. We believe that strong partnerships are built by supporting organisations whenever and wherever we can add value.
A recent example of this was our visit to EDF Hartlepool Power Station, where two of our training consultants supported a site safety initiative focused on operational readiness.
JMS training consultants Charlie Anderson and Stewart Robertson attended EDF Hartlepool as part of a site-wide Operational Readiness Event.
Following a period of outage, the Hartlepool site organised a dedicated safety event to ensure that teams were fully prepared before returning the plant to service. The aim was to give staff across all disciplines the opportunity to refresh knowledge, revisit important procedures, and reinforce safe working practices.
JMS were pleased to support the event by contributing to a stand focused on confined space safety and atmospheric testing.
Working alongside EDF staff, Charlie and Stewart provided an interactive demonstration of gas detection equipment and discussions around confined spaces.
The practical nature of the demonstration encouraged engagement from staff across a wide range of disciplines, helping reinforce the importance of safe atmospheric testing before work begins.
For JMS, the visit was also an opportunity to reconnect with personnel at the site. While we regularly train authorised gas testers at Hartlepool, events like this allow us to meet a broader range of staff who play an important role in maintaining safe operations.
Going Beyond Training
Supporting events like this is part of our wider philosophy at JMS Consultants.
While our core work involves delivering accredited gas testing, confined space, and purging training, we also believe in supporting our clients with:
- Technical guidance
- Practical demonstrations
- Operational troubleshooting
- Equipment advice
- Knowledge sharing across teams
These opportunities strengthen relationships and help ensure that safety knowledge is embedded throughout organisations.
Client Feedback
Following the event, we received the following testimonial from EDF Hartlepool.

Testimonial: Exceptional Service and Support from JMS Consultants
My experience working with JMS Consultants has been consistently excellent. Their team is professional, approachable, and genuinely committed to supporting our needs across training, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and technical enquiries. They take the time to understand our operational requirements, ensuring the support they provide is always relevant, effective, and impactful.
A recent example of their outstanding service occurred during an on-site operational readiness event. With very little notice, two JMS staff members attended in person to deliver hands-on guidance and support. Their contribution significantly enhanced our site stall by offering an interactive, engaging, and highly informative practical demonstration. They confidently addressed questions relating to all aspects of confined space practices, tailoring their explanations to suit the varied experience levels and disciplines of our staff. Their clarity, depth of knowledge, expertise and experience with the ability to communicate complex information effectively has helped strengthen our internal standards, processes, and overall staff understanding. Providing a noticeable and lasting positive impact on our site.
I highly recommend JMS Consultants to any organisation seeking reliable, knowledgeable, and proactive support in gas detection, nitrogen purging, and accredited training. Their dedication to delivering high-quality service truly sets them apart and I look forward to further cooperation and building on our existing relationship.
Building Long-Term Partnerships

At JMS Consultants, we are proud to support organisations like EDF Hartlepool in maintaining the highest safety standards.
