We made a return visit to the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) refinery in Bahrain during January and February to deliver OPITO-accredited Authorised Gas Tester AGT1 training and Further Authorised Gas Tester (refresher) training for around 340 BAPCO employees.

This exercise required a significant administration effort by the JMS team in the UK prior to the visit and continued support throughout the trip; the onsite training was delivered by three instructors in the new state of the art BAPCO Command Centre.

JMS Consultants Principal Consultant Jeff Regan stated “We were absolutely delighted to be invited back to BAPCO to deliver this critical training. BAPCO made us feel extremely welcome and Dave Williams, BAPCO’s Senior Occupational Hygienist and his team in the Health, Safety and Environment department played a pivotal role in the organisation for this visit. Myself, Karl Pearson and Stewart Robertson have all previously delivered training on site and it was pleasing to meet up again with many of the operations staff we had previously trained along with making new friends within BAPCO.”

Following the teams  return to the UK, BAPCO’s Health, Safety and Environment Manager, Ahmed Khalil said “The training was really well organised and the quality of the instructors and delivery of the courses was outstanding”.
